A Rare Occurence

Go Canada Go!
Funny how people were chanting, “Go Canada Go!”, despite the fact that there is no competition involved with Canada Day. How I miss the Olympics… I brought my red mittens to wear downtown during the Canada Day parade in the rare chance that my fingers get cold, but it stayed warm (fortunately? unfortunately?).

It was great that to see the cauldron again, and this time to be able to get much closer to it than during the Olympics.

Great Success!
Despite being ill-prepared, I’m very happy I got out of bed early in the morning and did the run. The Vancouver Sun Run was such an amazing experience! It’s definitely one of the best ways to see Vancouver, as well as the people.
Anyways, here are my results for my first ever Vancouver Sun Run:

Geese checking in
Geese are hardly anything unusual when seen in a park, but when this feathered family of five decided to make an appearance at the Pan Pacific Hotel in downtown Vancouver, it drew quite a crowd! Tourists and locals alike surrounded and shuffled along with them as they slowly made their way across Canada Place.
Unfortunately, these geese were denied access into the hotel. “Sorry, no shoes, no service!”
